To convince AUO Crops to set up its 10th generation factory in MaChaoHo Industry Park, magistrate Ming-wen Chen visited the chairman of AUO corp. on June 12th. Based on exchanging opinions of water and electricity usage, and wastewater and salt-injury treatment, Kun-yao Li expressed that he will carefully evaluate this proposal to setup factory in MaChaoHo Industry Park.
Accompanied by the legislator Hua-guan Chang, Puzih city mayor Li-chen Huang, Lucao township mayor Mu-hui Lin and county assemblyman Tson-hsian Won, Shin-yuei Wang, Gin-shan Wang, magistrate Ming-wen Chen visited the chairman in Hsinchu¡¦s AUO headquarter. Chen also explained to that its upstream manufacturer, AGC display Co. has confirmed its settlement of factory in MaChaoHo industrial park, expressing that the industry park has no issues with fault zone problems.
Kun-yao Li also asked in detail about the distance between the industry park and the coastline, amount of water supply, transportation links, and population in the county government district. Ming-wen Chen and the director-general of the Rural and Urban development answered those questions.
Ming-wen Chen stressed that the latter development stage (86 hectares) of the industrial park has formed, the current need of current manufacturers has reached 70 hectares and has instructed related departments to begin selection of manufacturers. Furthermore, the closest stage has more than 300 hectares of land available for AUO to set up its factory, with surrounding 400 hectares of farming land for further expansion.
Ming-wen Chen once again invited AUO to setup its factory in Chiayi, showed with high degree of sincerity from the county government. Kun-yao Li expressed that he understood the sincerity from the Chiayi county government, and will seriously evaluate his proposal. |
