Handling petitions |
- Petition law
- Petitions filed against administrative disciplinary
actions prescribed by municipal governments are directed to
this office
- Petitions filed against administrative disciplinary
actions prescribed by offices under county government's
command are directed to this office
- When filing petitions, written petitions should be
prepared and submitted to this office via the office by
which the administrative disciplinary action is prescribed
- This office makes its decision in 3 months following
acceptance of petitions. The time limit may be extended once
by no more than 2 months with the petitioner
notified.

| 2.
Handling state compensation cases |
- State Compensation Act; Regulations for Enforcement of
State Compensation Act
- For petitions ineligible for state compensation, this
office notifies the petitioner of its decision in 30 days
following receipt of petitions, stating the reason that
their petitions are denied. For those eligible, this office
begins negotiation with the petitioner.

Management of rules and regulations |
- Stipulating self-governance statutes, self-governance
rules and administrative rules
- Interpreting dubious rules and regulations

| 4. Mediating
consumer-merchant disputes |
- Consumer Protection Act; consumer-merchant dispute
mediation measures
- If a consumer-merchant dispute cannot be resolved after
filing a complaint with the merchant and the consumer
protection officer, the consumer can apply to the
Consumer-Merchant Dispute Mediation Committee at the county
government for mediation.
